The Pipe Majors' Club (of Scandinavia)

The Pipe Majors' Club is a club for Scandinavian pipe-majors. The requirement to be eligible as a member is to have led a Scandinavian pipe band competing in the Scandinavian Pipe Band Championships.

The club was reformed in 2006 from The Former Pipe Majors' Club, where only former pipe-majors were allowed as members.

The annual general meeting of the club is held every year in the autumn. At this meeting the highest executive of the club is elected – the senior pipe-major.

At the meeting at Lars Foldager's house in Nyborg 3 October 2009, the following members participated: Lars Foldager, Bob Kilgour, Peter Scheel, Kaj Larssen, Niels Aaboe, Palle Schjerning, Tom Harboe, Mats d Hermansson, Christian Wessman, Iain Currie, Jan Joensen and Ib M.C. Nielsen.

Bob was appointed Senior Pipe Major.

The annual meeting 2010 is planned to be held in Copenhagen on Saturday 2 October - more to follow.
